  The president and visionary of all thing’s real estate development and permitting is Jim Laughlin.  Jim started his career design building custom homes in Port Townsend WA.  He then moved up to Juneau, Alaska in the 80’s where he built custom homes and did concrete work.  When the market crashed Jim moved down to Bainbridge Island where he was able to start selling real estate and venturing into land development.  Throughout the 80’s and 90’s he had many successful developments on Bainbridge Island including the Madison Cottages 21 unit infill, Midden Point 20 lot development, North Town Woods 60 Lot subdivision, and many more on Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County.  In the last decade Jim has worked with other developers  to plan and permit over 500 units in and around Kitsap County.   

  Ian Laughlin studied at Washington State University double majoring in Entrepreneurship and Management Operations, while also double minoring in Construction Management and Human Resources.  Once out of school in 2007 he joined up with a local commercial contractor, during this time he was a superintendent on dialysis and medical centers, banks and other commercial construction.  In 2013 he became part owner with another contractor where he was able to work on some amazing custom homes and apartments.  Ian helped to grow this small company of 5 to over 70 employees, acting as Owner/Superintendent/Project Manager when needed to help it become one of the largest contractors in Kitsap County.  At the beginning of 2019 Laughlin Development was formed so that father and son could pool their knowledge and resources to create their own mark in the area.
